- Town of Winfield
The Town of Winfield in Lake County, Indiana, lights its Christmas tree on Sunday, November 29, 2026, at the Winfield Government Center. Activities begin at 4 p.m. with holiday music, cookies and hot chocolate, and while they wait, children can color pictures or write a letter to Santa. Santa arrives in his sleigh around 4:30 p.m. to light the town tree, then stays to visit with families, so bring a camera for a photo. It is a short, small-town event that suits families with young children on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend; dress for the outdoors. The town says more details will be posted closer to the date.
