Learn to find your way with a map and compass at Crabtree Nature Center in Barrington Hills on Sunday, November 8 at 1 pm. Participants first learn how to use the two tools together for navigation, then practice what they learned on a 1.5-mile walk. The program is free. It is a practical skill for scouts and school-age kids who can handle the walk; dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
