About this adventure
A hands-on entomology class at the Forest Preserves of Cook County's River Trail Nature Center in Northbrook, presented with The Insect Asylum. Students learn what entomology is and why it matters, then work through how insect collections are made by preparing their own real cicada specimens for display with pins. The class runs two hours on the Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend and is open to ages 14 and up. Space is limited and the cost is $5 per person. River Trail Nature Center's number for questions is 847-824-8360.
