Presented with The Insect Asylum, this class at Trailside Museum of Natural History in River Forest walks students through the process of entomology: what it is, why it matters and how specimens are prepared. Participants pin real cicada specimens for display. It runs Sunday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to noon, costs $5 and is limited to ages 14 and up, so it is for teens with an interest in science. Space is limited and registration is required.

The page says registration is required by 11/27, which is after the class date; confirm with Trailside. Same class at River Trail Nature Center Nov 29 not recorded.
