The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium runs six single-day winter break camps for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, each built around one habitat and the animals that live there: Discovering the Deserts (Dec. 21), Wandering the Wetlands (Dec. 22), Roaming the Rainforests (Dec. 23), Observing the Oceans (Dec. 28), Meandering the Mountains (Dec. 29) and Adventures in the Arctic (Dec. 30). Campers are split into a grades K-2 group and a grades 3-5 group. Each 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. day includes activities, an art project, a light afternoon snack, a Zoo walk when the weather allows and a special Zoo experience. It is a drop-off program; families pack a lunch and a water bottle and can register for one day or several. The grades 3-5 group was shown as fully booked with a waitlist when checked.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
The reservations page prints weekdays and dates without a year; Monday Dec. 21 etc. match 2026. Grades 3-5 shown as fully booked (waitlist) on 2026-10-20; K-2 still bookable. The booking widget separately shows a generic '$99.00' and '3 hours' tile, which conflicts with the printed per-day prices; the printed prices are used.
