The Ohio Statehouse hosts a free Trick-or-Treat Tour for younger visitors on Friday, October 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. Children explore the Statehouse in costume, learn about the building as they go, and pick up treats at stops along the tour route. The Statehouse calendar gives the time as 10 to 11 a.m. and lists the Map Room as the location inside the building on Capitol Square downtown. Costumes are encouraged, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. The tour costs nothing; the calendar does not mention tickets or advance sign-up, and questions go to tours@ohiostatehouse.org. It is a one-hour, weekday-morning program aimed at younger children.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read the Ohio Statehouse calendar event page (event?id=1809), which prints the full 2026 date. Lead came from the Downtown Columbus Tribe REST feed, whose website field links this page. The Statehouse calendar list page is JS-rendered (empty to curl), so other Statehouse events were not checked. No ticket or registration is mentioned; ages are given only as 'younger visitors'.
