The Dallas Teen Artist Market fills Klyde Warren Park's Great Lawn for a Saturday in November with booths run by young artists aged 14 to 18 from across the metroplex. Teens sell their own prints, stickers, handmade jewelry, ceramics and other work, and the market is planned with a student planning committee, so it doubles as a showcase of what local teenagers are making. It is a program of work/shop, a nonprofit art studio in Dallas that supports young artists. For families it is a chance to buy holiday gifts directly from teen makers and to show younger kids and aspiring artists what their peers create; teens interested in selling at future markets can learn about the program at the booths. The market runs 10 am to 4 pm, so it is easy to come and go and combine with the park's playground and food trucks. Check the park's parking information before you go.
