Ahead of Lakewood Library's annual holiday tree contest, this two-hour maker workshop gives families, school-age kids, tweens and teens tools and materials, including a laser-cutting station, to design or finish a tree entry. Come with an idea or a half-built tree; staff can explain the contest rules. Free; Saturday, December 5, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
