Eloise May Library in southeast Denver hosts an interactive fairy-tale performance in Russian for children ages 3 to 7 and their parents. Musical theater actress Tatiana Fyodorova presents the classic Russian story 'Koshkin Dom' (The Cat's House), the tale of a proud cat whose house burns down and the kittens who take her in, with theatrical scenes, music, games and playful activities that invite the young audience to join in. It is a good fit for Russian-speaking families and for children learning the language at home who enjoy hearing a familiar story acted out. The show runs Saturday, November 7, from 11:00 am to noon. Arapahoe Libraries asks families to register in advance through 'My Events' in a library account. The library also runs regular Russian-language storytimes and craft programs for children, so families can find more Russian-language activities on the same calendar.
