The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston screens Disney and Pixar's Coco on Friday, November 13, 2026 at 7 p.m. with the full score performed live by the Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México. The film follows Miguel, a boy who dreams of becoming a musician despite his family's generations-old ban on music, on a journey through the Land of the Dead that explores family bonds and the power of music, including the Oscar-winning song 'Remember Me'. It is screened in English with Spanish subtitles. A live orchestra playing along with a familiar animated film is an approachable first concert for school-age children, and the timing follows Día de los Muertos season. Tickets are on sale through The Grand's box office.
