La Porte Parks and Recreation, the La Porte Police Department and the La Porte Municipal Airport host a free Halloween event at the airport on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. Children trick-or-treat at tables run by local vendors, families can step inside a Haunted Hangar, and there is an optional 3K run/walk hosted by the airport. All ages are welcome, and the organizers present it as a safe alternative to neighborhood trick-or-treating. Come in costume with a candy bag; the airport setting gives aviation-loving kids a rare chance to see a hangar up close.
