A Halloween variety show at the outdoor amphitheater of Ernie Miller Park in Olathe, run by Johnson County Park & Recreation naturalists. The evening mixes spooky stories, ghoulish games and mysterious music with appearances by the nature center's live animals, and there is an intermission with light snacks. It is aimed at adults and children 8 and older attending with an adult, and lasts one to two hours starting at 7:30 p.m. Dress for the weather: in bad weather the show moves inside the nature center. Everyone who attends, adults included, must register and pay in advance; at least one paid adult is required for every five paid children. Day-of-event spots cost more and are sold only if space remains, and the program fee is nonrefundable.
