Jackson County's Christmas in the Park, now in its 39th year, is a free drive-through light display with more than a million lights and over 200 animated displays, all designed and built in-house by county Parks + Rec crews. The route starts at the Frank White Jr. Softball Complex and winds through the Longview Lake Campground past light tunnels, arches and character scenes. It runs every night from Nov. 25 through New Year's Eve, 5:30–10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 5:30–11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free; voluntary donations collected at the exit support dozens of local charities. Vehicle clearance is about 14 feet, so buses and RVs can drive through. The county suggests weeknights early in the season to avoid the longest lines.
