About this adventure

Families drive Lover's Lane after dark while volunteers' lighted scenes line the road, a Clay County tradition the Downtown Excelsior Partnership lists from the Saturday of the downtown Christmas kickoff through Christmas Day. The page calls it a drive-through: stay in the car, bring holiday music, and expect a different local school, nonprofit, or community group to host each night, with a portion of that night's proceeds going back to the host. No reservation or timed entry is described. The same page still prints a hosting calendar headed 2025, so which group hosts which 2026 night, and whether a suggested donation applies this year, is not settled on the page. Dress for a car ride rather than a walk, and allow extra time if downtown traffic is heavy on the November 21 parade night.
