About this adventure

Downtown Excelsior Springs holds its annual lighted parade on the Saturday of the Christmas kickoff, with the 2026 theme Winter Wonderland. Families stand along the downtown route to watch lighted floats, local businesses, community groups, performers, and holiday characters, and the page says the last float carries a special holiday guest. The evening starts with the mayor's lighting ceremony and the parade follows at about 6:00 PM, so it is an outdoor night event and children should have coats. Businesses, nonprofits, churches, schools, clubs, families, and community groups may enter a float or vehicle if they register ahead of time. The page does not print a spectator fee or a street-by-street route map. This listing is the parade only; the mayor's switch-on is described on a separate page.
