Children drop a letter in the North Pole mailbox outside the Excelsior Springs Museum & Archives and get a personalized reply the page calls an official letter from Santa's North Pole Express. The letter must include the child's first and last name and a return address. Letters are collected from November 21 through December 13, 2026. The museum's own visit page says exhibits are closed December 1 through January 31, so this is a mailbox outside the building, not a tour or a photo sitting inside the museum. The letter page does not print a fee. Families who want the reply should use a real mailing address and drop the letter before the last collection day.
