A new Thanksgiving-morning race in Henderson's Inspirada community, this first-year turkey trot offers a 5K and a 1-mile course starting and finishing at Solista Park. The organizers describe it as a fun-for-all-ages family event, and the flat, fully paved course loops through Inspirada's parks and walking trails, which makes the 1 mile a manageable distance for school-age children. Strollers are allowed and riders in strollers do not need to register, but every child who runs or walks must have their own registration. Because the race finishes where it starts, relatives who are not running can wait at the park to cheer finishers in. Both distances start at 8 am on Thanksgiving Day and cost $50 until October 31, 2026, after which the price rises. The race is run independently by Inspirada Runners and is not organized by the community's homeowners association.
