City of Henderson

Henderson opens its holiday month with WinterFest, a free two-night celebration on Water Street in downtown Henderson. Night one is the tree lighting ceremony followed by a drone show over Water Street Plaza. The city has announced that WinterFest 2026 is scheduled for December 3 and 4 but has not posted this year's program yet. Last year's first night ran from late afternoon into the evening: a holiday market opened first, the Coronado High School choir and a local band played, the tree was lit just before 7 pm and the drone show followed right after. Families can expect a similar mix of music, food vendors and lit-up holiday décor on the plaza, though acts and times may change. It is fully outdoors, so bring warm layers for children once the sun goes down. The city asks that children under 16 be accompanied by a parent. Free parking has been offered in the Water Street garage nearby. Check the city's WinterFest page in November for the 2026 schedule before you go.
