Great Escape Days are the Children's Science Explorium's drop-off science days for school holidays. On days off from school, children ages 6–12 spend 10 am to 2 pm with Explorium staff on the fun side of science experiments, outdoor play and a project to take home. Children bring a lunch, and pre-registration is required (registration opened August 4). In this window the days fall on Veterans Day (November 11), November 24 during Thanksgiving week, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 18, 2027 — just outside this listing's range). The fee is not printed on the event page; check the City's registration system.
