A story-plus-science session at the Gardens Branch Library in Palm Beach Gardens built around Mo Willems' snowy picture book. After the read-aloud, children build their own sleigh and test it on inclined planes, a simple hands-on introduction to slopes, friction and motion. The program is listed for ages 5-11 and lasts about 45 minutes, 3:15 to 4 pm on Friday, December 11 — an easy after-school stop during the holiday season. No registration method is listed on the event, so plan to arrive a little early.
