Boca Ballet Theatre opens its season with its full-length production of The Nutcracker over Thanksgiving weekend at the Olympic Heights Performing Arts Theater in west Boca Raton. Clara's dream comes alive with the Nutcracker Prince, the Mouse King and the Sugar Plum Fairy, danced by the company's students and professionals with guest artists Emily Bromberg and Lucas Segovia. Four performances: Friday, November 27 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, November 28 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, November 29 at 2 p.m. After the two matinees, children can attend the separately ticketed Gingerbread Ball ($12) to go onstage, meet Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy, see sets and costumes up close, collect autographs and take home a goody bag (children must be accompanied by a parent). Ticket prices are on the company's ticketing page.
