‘Tis the Seas’n at Gumbo Limbo Nature Center: on four evenings the nature center opens after hours so families can see its outdoor aquariums glowing at night and find out what the sea creatures do after daytime visitors leave. There are holiday refreshments, crafts, yard games and a photo op with Luna, the sea turtle mascot, and each night has its own theme announced on the center's social media. Ages 2 and up; minors must come with a registered parent or guardian. Advance registration through the City's WebTrac system is required (activity 155450); walk-ins are accepted only if a night is not sold out, at a higher price. December 12 is a pre-season special (resident $8, non-resident $10, walk-in $15); December 19, December 26 and January 2 are resident $10, non-resident $13, walk-in $20 per person. Programs can be cancelled for weather or low registration.
