A guided morning bird hike at Lake Elmo Park Reserve for beginners and experienced birders alike. Participants listen to the sounds of the park, learn to identify birds of the St. Croix Valley and help collect citizen-science data by completing bird count surveys for Washington County's natural resources team. Open to all ages; children must come with a parent or guardian, so it works as a quiet family outing for kids who can walk for 90 minutes. Bring binoculars, water and snacks, dress for the weather and wear winter hiking shoes or boots. Meet at the Nordic Center.
