Washington County Parks leads an early-winter bird walk at Pine Point Regional Park north of Stillwater. Naturalists help families and new birders identify the birds that stay in the St. Croix Valley in December, and participants can add their sightings to bird count surveys that support the county's habitat work under a Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Fund grant. All ages are welcome with a parent or guardian. Plan on about 90 minutes outdoors: bring binoculars, water and snacks and wear winter boots. Meet at the trailhead kiosk.
