Children's Theatre Company's season opener, closing October 18. Five theatre painters use only the tools of their trade, such as brushes, scaffolding and wallpaper rolls, to stage a spontaneous, music-filled retelling of Pinocchio's quest to become a real boy, including how he and Geppetto end up inside a whale. Adapted and directed by Greg Banks from Carlo Collodi. The show runs about 1 hour 55 minutes with one 15-minute intermission, and CTC rates it 'best enjoyed by everyone.' Lap passes for children 3 and younger are $5. On Friday nights after opening, cast members stay to sign programs. CTC also offers a self-guided Pinocchio tour through the neighbouring Mia galleries.
