Once a month Como Park Zoo & Conservatory sets aside 9-10 a.m. for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families to explore the zoo before regular crowds arrive. To prepare, Como offers a sensory map with a suggested walking path, plus a social narrative and a Visual Adventure Board created with the Autism Society of Minnesota that explain step by step what to expect. No registration is required. Upcoming early-entry Saturdays are October 17, November 7, December 5 and January 2, with more dates listed through 2027. Questions go to Como's marketing team by email.
