About this adventure
Children's Theatre Company runs two Sensory Friendly performances of its holiday musical Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, the big Whoville show on the UnitedHealth Group Stage in which the grumpy Grinch tries to steal Christmas until one small voice changes his heart. These performances are designed for children and adults with autism, sensory processing differences, anxiety or other sensory, social and cognitive disabilities, and their families: the show is the same story, but the audience lights stay on low, the sound is turned down, strobes and intense effects are softened, and families can step out to a Take-a-Break Space or watch from the Quiet Room. The production runs 1 hour 50 minutes with one 15-minute intermission and CTC rates it for everyone. CTC offers a social story for the UnitedHealth Group Stage and 'Meet Your Seat' visits before the show, and families may bring their own fidgets, cushions and comfort items.
