About this adventure
The day after Halloween, the City of Burnsville invites families to bring their used jack-o'-lanterns to Neill Park and smash them: roll pumpkins down the park's hill or smash them with a bat. There is also an inflatable, treats and warm apple cider. Families who would rather not smash can drop pumpkins off with Dakota Valley Recycling, which is on site to compost both whole and smashed pumpkins, so the event doubles as a lesson in keeping pumpkins out of the trash. Free.
