About this adventure
On the longest night of the year, Eastman Nature Center lines a trail with luminaries for a quiet walk through the woods. Visitors stop in any time between 5 and 8 p.m. as individuals or small groups; walking in early evening offers dusk light, while later arrivals walk in full dark (last entry onto the trail at 8 p.m.). The center calls it a once-a-year experience. It is free; to mark the occasion, visitors may bring a personal care item to donate to the CROSS food shelf.
