About this adventure
Two performances of the Guthrie Theater's A Christmas Carol are adapted for Deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind and low-vision theatergoers: certified interpreters sign the show in American Sign Language, and a live audio describer gives verbal descriptions of the action, costumes and scenery for people who are blind or have low vision. It is the Guthrie's 52nd production of Dickens's ghost story, staged on the Wurtele Thrust Stage, recommended for ages 8 and up and running about 1 hour 45 minutes with intermission - a natural holiday outing for families with a Deaf or blind child or parent. Buy through the Guthrie's performance calendar with the access promo code so you are seated for the interpreters or get an audio-description receiver. The Guthrie also lists open-captioned performances of the same show on November 27 and December 6.
