About this adventure

One Saturday matinee of Stages Theatre Company's holiday musical Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is adapted for Deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind and low-vision families. Certified American Sign Language interpreters sign the show from the left section of the main floor, between the stage and the front row, and an audio describer turns the action, costumes and sets into spoken description that patrons hear through a receiver from any seat. The musical follows Rudolph, Hermey and Yukon Cornelius as Rudolph leaves Christmastown, meets fellow misfits and comes home to save Santa's sleigh, with the classic songs, and runs about 75 minutes with a brief intermission - suitable for all ages. A tactile sensory box with costume and set pieces can be requested at the box office before the show, and large-print programs are available.
