About this adventure

Children's Theatre Company's world-premiere musical Twelve Kinds of Ice, in which Ellen recalls icy childhood adventures with her father, has one Sensory Friendly performance on the intimate Cargill Stage. The one-hour show (no intermission) watches ice form onstage and is recommended for ages 7 and up. At the Sensory Friendly performance the house lights stay on low, the sound is turned down, intense effects are softened and families can step out to a Take-a-Break Space stocked with fidgets and weighted blankets, which makes it a good first theatre outing for children with autism, sensory processing differences or anxiety and for their siblings. CTC developed the format with Fraser and the Autism Society of Minnesota and offers 'Meet Your Seat' visits before the show.
