About this adventure

The City of Plymouth sets up 'Santa Visits the Sensory Room' for children who find holiday crowds, lights, noise and smells overwhelming. Families sign up for a private 10-minute, one-on-one visit with Santa in the Plymouth Community Center's calming sensory space, so a child can meet Santa without a long line or a busy mall around them. While they are there, families can also join other sensory-friendly activities: holiday crafts, reading with therapy animals and sensory play. The city frames it for children with sensory needs or sensory processing difficulties, for whom a regular Santa line during the holidays is too much.
