Over winter break, Dakota County Parks lines the Schulze Lake loop at Lebanon Hills Regional Park in Eagan with hundreds of lanterns for a free evening walk. Bonfires burn at the A-frame Shelter and Visitor Center fire rings from 5 to 8 p.m. This loop is unpaved and unplowed, so it suits families with walking kids rather than strollers; wear warm boots with traction. No ticket or pre-registration, free parking, all ages. Lanterns are lit daily from about 4 p.m. to park close at 10 p.m., Dec. 18 through Jan. 3.
