On October weekends, Elmwood Park Zoo holds Harvest Fest around the Stony Creek Stage near Zoo Brew in Norristown, with carnival games, live music, face painting and other fall activities. The fest is free with zoo admission, but carnival games and some activities cost extra, and game tickets are bought at the games. It runs 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and overlaps with the zoo's Boo at the Zoo trick-or-treat weekends, so families can combine both in one visit. The last two Harvest Fest weekends are October 17–18 and 24–25.
