Billy Moore Days is Avondale's long-running heritage festival, held over four days at Festival Fields Park. The core is a travelling carnival with rides for younger and older children, plus food vendors, exhibitors and cultural showcases for visitors of all ages. Saturday evening adds a free-to-watch music line-up from 6 to 11 p.m. (DJ Rey, Soulitify and 512: The Selena Experience). Carnival hours are Thursday 6–10 p.m., Friday 6 p.m.–midnight, Saturday 3 p.m.–midnight and Sunday 3–10 p.m. Unlimited-ride wristbands cost $17.99 online (before Oct. 25 at 5 p.m.) or $20 at the gate and are good only during the wristband hours of a single day (6–9 p.m. Thu/Fri, 3–6 p.m. Sat/Sun); a week-long Mega Pass is sold online only. The Billy Moore Days Parade runs separately on Saturday morning in Old Town Avondale.
