- Shape Up Us with the City of Glendale
Shape Up Us partners with the City of Glendale for a third year to put on a free Family Fun Community Event at Heroes Regional Park. The day is built around the World's Largest Pickleball Lesson, and families can also join a 1K Fun Walk and 5K Fun Run with the Glendale Elementary School District, try a Ninja Warrior obstacle course and more. All 14 Glendale elementary schools are invited to compete to bring the most students and families, with a pickleball equipment package and the Hip Hop Healthy Heart Program for Children as the prize. It runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., which gives younger children time to drop in for the obstacle course and walk; wear athletic shoes and bring water. Donations go to the program's school curriculum.
