Forestry educator Lisa Meadows leads an evening owl walk in Forbes State Forest near Laurel Mountain. After a short introduction to the owls of southwestern Pennsylvania, the group drives to several spots to look and listen for owls. Dress for the outdoors with long pants, hiking shoes and a jacket, and bring a flashlight. It suits teens and children age 7 and up, who must come with an adult. Leave dogs at home (service dogs excepted), and expect cancellation in steady rain. Preregistration is required.
