Students from Portland-area middle and high schools take the stage at the Winningstad Theatre for this two-day festival of Shakespeare performances. Each ticketed performance pairs school productions: on Saturday, November 14, Romeo and Juliet (Harriet Tubman) and As You Like It (Holy Redeemer) at 2 p.m., then Coriolanus (ACMA MS) and The Tempest (MLC) at 5:30 p.m.; on Sunday, November 15, King Lear (DaVinci), Much Ado About Nothing (Jefferson) and A Midsummer Night's Dream (Barlow) at noon, and Macbeth (Parkrose HS) and Twelfth Night (ACMA HS) at 4:30 p.m. Seating is general admission and all ages are welcome, although everyone over age 1 needs a ticket. It is a good first Shakespeare experience for older children and a chance for teens to see peers perform. Tickets are $23.30 including fees, with Arts for All tickets available at the Portland'5 box office.
