The City of Gresham hosts a free, all-day Día de los Muertos celebration on Sunday, November 1, at Futbarrio on NW Division Street. The event is meant both to celebrate the holiday and to teach its history. Families will find food carts, crafts and face painting throughout the day, with live music and performers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A community altar invites visitors to bring photos of loved ones who have died, and the city says printing will be available on site for anyone who needs a copy made. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., is open to everyone and costs nothing to attend, so families can drop in for the performances, a craft and a meal from the food carts. Questions go to the city contact listed on the event page.
