Camas Parks & Recreation's Hometown Holidays fills downtown Camas on the evening of Friday, December 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. The night opens with the annual tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m., followed by pictures with Santa, hot cocoa and entertainment around downtown; the Downtown Camas Association adds falling 'snow', elves handing out treats to children and school and community choirs, bands and dancers, plus crafts for kids and street food. New for 2026 is a global holiday market with vendors representing winter traditions such as Christmas, Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa and Lunar New Year. The event coincides with the association's First Friday, so downtown shops and restaurants stay open. It is an easy evening outing for families with young children; bring a camera for the Santa photos.
