Upcoming dates: Mon, Nov 9 · Mon, Dec 14

A monthly outdoor science session from the East Bay Regional Park District for home-schooled children aged 5 to 12. Families take their learning outside to explore environmental science and Delta topics through hands-on activities in the park; the program runs rain or shine and starts promptly at 10 AM. The November session (November 9) is a Marsh Creek clean-up that meets at Creekside Park in Oakley; the December session meets at the Big Break Visitor Center. Younger siblings (0–4) are welcome, but the content is aimed at older learners — families with only little ones are pointed to the Big Break Littles program instead. Registration is no longer required, the program is free, adult participation is required, and only service animals are allowed. Information: (510) 544-3050.
