Once a month, on the second Friday, the West Oakland Branch of the Oakland Public Library hosts a hands-on science session led by educators from West Oakland Environmental Indicators using the Kids Making Sense program. Each session features different experiments and also gives kids tools to understand and measure the air pollution around them in West Oakland. Sessions are for ages 5 to 13 with their caregivers and run 3:30 to 5 pm after school.
