- Golden State Model Railroad Museum (East Bay Regional Park District facility)
A volunteer-run museum of operating model trains in a 10,000-square-foot building at Miller/Knox Regional Shoreline in Point Richmond. Detailed O, HO and N scale layouts recreate Northern and Central California scenery, with freight and passenger trains from the steam era to modern diesels, and children can follow the trains along more than 200 feet of public walkway. On Sundays from April through December the trains run on all layouts (12 noon–5 pm April–September, 12 noon–4 pm October–December) and admission is charged; on Saturdays the layouts are open to look at but the trains are not running, and admission is free. The museum is closed January through March and on holidays that fall on weekdays; it says it typically adds holiday train shows in late December and posts them on its website. Tickets are sold at the door (cash and cards). The building is fully wheelchair accessible; parking inside the gates is very limited, with more along the road and in the Miller/Knox lot across the street.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Visit page header says 'Updated: October 21, 2025' but also 'We are OPEN for the 2026 season!'. Commented-out HTML block mentions 2016 holiday shows; ignored. The 2026 holiday-show list on the home page is loaded by JavaScript and could not be read, so no December dates are recorded. Price 3 = lowest standard paid ticket.
