Exploratorium

The Exploratorium is a hands-on museum of science, art and human perception on Pier 15 along San Francisco's Embarcadero, with hundreds of interactive exhibits indoors and on the outdoor Bay walk. Museum hours: Tuesday–Saturday 10:00 am–5:00 pm; Sunday 12:00 pm–5:00 pm (10:00 am to noon on Sundays is reserved for daytime members and donors); closed Monday; After Dark on Thursday nights 6:00–10:00 pm is for ages 18+. Daytime tickets: Adults (18–64) $39.95; Youth (4–17), Seniors (65+), People with Disabilities, Teachers and Students $29.95; Children (3 & under) and Daytime Members are listed in the price table; California public school teachers can apply for free admission. The Tactile Dome costs $15.95 (members $12.95) in addition. Tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. Regular hours are subject to change; check special hours before visiting.
