On selected weekend days the Exploratorium runs Storytime Science: a staff member reads an engaging picture book aloud and then leads a related hands-on activity for children and their grown-ups. Sessions are at noon and 2 pm, have limited capacity and are recommended for families with kids ages 4 to 8. October's sessions are Halloween-themed (Oct 17, 18 and 25), and the next science-themed sessions are on Saturday, November 7. Storytime takes place inside the museum, so it is included with daytime admission; arrive a little early to get a spot.
