Brazen Racing

Brazen Racing's Thanksgiving morning trail race at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline offers a 5K and a 10K on mostly fire-road loops with bay views, plus the Little Turkeys Race for kids: a roughly 100-yard dash against the Nitro Turkey mascot that starts at 8:45 AM, fifteen minutes before the 5K and 10K at 9:00 AM. Children 10 and under who come with a registered 5K or 10K runner get free entry into the Little Turkeys Race along with a special medal and a goodie bag. Walkers are welcome on both courses, and Thanksgiving costumes for children and adults are encouraged. A playground sits beside the start/finish area for children waiting for family to finish. The race supports the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano, and every 'little turkey' is asked to bring at least one canned good on race morning; collection bins are on site.
