Tower Grove Park brings its Osage Culture Traveling Trunk to Carpenter Library for a two-hour hands-on session during Native American Heritage Month. The trunk holds Osage Nation-approved materials on the history, language and culture of the Osage people, who lived in what is now Missouri when Europeans first arrived. It was created to help young Missourians understand Osage heritage across the tribe's ancestral territory. The materials are aimed at elementary and middle school students, and interested high schoolers and adults are welcome too; the library lists the program for all ages. It meets in the branch auditorium on a Saturday afternoon.
