One of Tampa Bay's longest-running Thanksgiving traditions, the City of Clearwater and Achieva Credit Union's Turkey Trot brings thousands of runners, walkers and families to Clearwater High School on Thanksgiving morning. There are three race options for all ages and abilities: the Achieva 5K Timed Run, plus the FrankCrum Family Fun 5K and Abe's Place 1-Mile Drum Run, both of which welcome strollers and well-behaved leashed dogs and are pitched as relaxed, family-friendly outings. Expect live music, a costume contest and a pre-race party with games and food. Every registered participant receives a collectible 2026 medal. Registration is on RunSignUp; packets can be picked up from Nov. 21 at Achieva branches or at the Pre-Trot Community Celebration at BayCare Ballpark on Wednesday, Nov. 25 (4-8 PM), which has live music, street performers and giveaways. Roads along the course close on race morning. Race fees are not printed on the city page.
