Great Explorations Children's Museum in St. Petersburg launches Planetarium Monday on November 2: several short planetarium shows run through the late morning and early afternoon, taking young space explorers on a journey through the cosmos. The museum says each month will bring a fresh topic, so this is the first of a planned monthly series. It suits curious preschoolers and elementary-age children who can sit through a short dome show, and it pairs naturally with the museum's hands-on exhibit play the rest of the visit. Specific show times are not printed; the event window is 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Planetarium Monday is included with standard museum admission, and it is free for Museums for All participants (SNAP, WIC, EBT cardholders) thanks to the Chapman Foundation.
